When traveling there is always the question of what to do with one’s car. In Wales the question becomes what Cardiff Airport parking on-site is available.

The Cardiff Airport has two options for on-site parking. There is short stay and long stay parking. Like airports all over, the short-term is more expensive but closer to the airport. The long-term has cheaper rates but is further out.

The short-term parking is available for people wishing to park for up to four days. The pricing is scaled up to a twenty-four hour, whole day rate, It is twenty-five pounds for the twenty-four hours. The Cardiff Airport does have a unique feature at its short-term parking and that is a priority pick-up where one pays a pound to wait in the short stay car park. The pound gets twenty minutes of wait time. Time over twenty minutes is charged at the regular tiered rate applicable to the time in the lot.

The long-term parking has two areas. One that is only two minutes from the terminal and another area that offers shuttle service to the terminal. The rate for long stay parking is dependent upon on the number of days at the car park. It starts at seventeen pounds per day for one day and decreases the longer one stays. Eventually the rate is five pounds per day after fifteen days. However, with the after fifteen days rate one must still pay the fifteen day fee before being charged five pound daily rate.

The long stay parking also has free, twenty minute pick-up available.
