The last thing that you want when you are looking to go somewhere on a holiday is to be restricted by the flights that an airport offers. If your local airport is offering flights to only a select few destinations then you are going to have to either take a pick from this restricted range or travel further afield for a wider range. Of course, the latter option is such that it will result in you losing much more money through transportation to the airport than you should be spending. In England and Scotland, this isn’t a massive issue – you are never far from at least 3 airports that you can travel to relatively cheaply. However, the problem is quite acute in Wales where there isn’t an abundance of airports. The largest by far is Cardiff and it is incredibly fortunate that there are a large number of flights flying out of the airport to a wide array of destinations.

Many of the cheaper airlines fly from Cardiff to Europe’s largest cities in Spain, France and Italy. Whilst these flights may be later in the day or early in the morning, they are a cheap option from an airport that is one of the most accessible in Wales. There are other airlines such as BA that fly out from Cardiff too and, whilst they may cost slightly more, will fly at more sociable times. The main thing is, however, no matter where you want to go, Cardiff airport has a flight for you.
